Gary Kaplan

Gary E. Kaplan, 51, born Aug 26, 1950, of Overland Park, Ks, passed away April 24, 2002, from cancer, at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral was April 26 at The Louis Memorial Chapel, and burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Gary was self-employed as a CPA for 30 years in the midtown area. He was a 1972 graduate of the University of Kansas. Gary is survived by his wife of 22 years, JoAnn Kaplan and his son Sam Kaplan, both of the home; his mother and her husband, Ruth Kaplan Pollock (Dave), Palm Springs, CA; brothers Larry, Houston, TX, Fred, Brooklyn, NY. Gary was a person who lived life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and a person who loved to participate in and watch all sports, especially those involving his son, Sam.

Constance Vicki (Kiene) Ediger, 66, of Hutchinson, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from complication with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born Jan. 18, 1950, in Bermuda, the daughter of William and Connie (Jenks) Kiene. She was a 1968 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a graduate of Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University. Vicki was a dental hygienist at the Dental Center for 25 years and longtime member of Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson. She is survived by: her son, Dr. Kory V. Ediger and wife Heather and grandchildren, William, Evan and Lily Ediger, all of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Van Kiene.

Terry Killgore

Terry Killgore, 74, of Hutchinson, died peacefully September 17, 2024, at Hospice House. He was born May 11, 1950, in Wichita, to Gene and Ruth (Stutler) Killgore. Terry graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968 and loved his classmates dearly. He was nicknamed “Flash” by some because of his love of running. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kansas State University in 1972. Terry worked at GO Steel until an industrial accident forced him to leave in 1975. He then worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation until 1987 when he had another accident which forced him to retire. Terry enjoyed collecting pennies and putting together puzzles. He cheered for the K-State Wildcats, the New York Yankees, and the Indianapolis Colts. Terry always had a positive attitude and was very giving with his time and love. He had a survivor’s spirit and fought through many trials and accidents, yet stood fast in his love for Jesus. On June 16, 1989, he married Cynthia Regehr in Inman. They shared 35 years of marriage. Terry is survived by: wife, Cynthia Killgore of Hutchinson; sons, Andrew (Cara) Killgore of Cincinnati, OH, Aaron Killgore of Vancouver, WA, Adam Killgore of Nashville, TN; brothers, Mike (Charlotte) Killgore of Angier, NC, Ray (Nancy) Killgore of Sarasota, FL; sister, Kelly (Craig) Towers of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Drew, Noah, Kate, Liam; mother of his sons, Tina Jo Cheatum; sisters-in-law, Connie (Willie) Newcome of Inman, Marna Regehr of Montgomery Village, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 6 – 8 pm at Elliott Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2 pm at Hutchinson Gospel Chapel, 2005 Hendricks St, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Luke Helmuth officiating. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Terry noted he wants people to dress in happy clothes at the service! Memorials are suggested to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. The family would like to thank all the healthcare employees at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and Wesley Medical Center and all the therapists from various locations for helping Terry over the years. Stephen K. Kline, 51, died Oct. 31, 2001, at Hospice Residential Care Center, Hutchinson. He was born May 30, 1950, in Hutchinson, the son of William L. (died Jan. 23, 2006) and Dorothy Shields Kline (died July 8, 1996). He was a 1968 graduate of Hutchinson High School, a 1971 graduate of Barcelona University, and a 1972 graduate of Kansas University. He was a Vice President of the former Kline Insurance Agency, Hutchinson. He was a member of Park Place Christian Church, Prairie Dunes County Club and Optimist Club, all of Hutchinson; KUAlumni Association and Sigma Chi fraternity. He married Pam Prickett Sept. 5, 1975, in Hutchinson. She survives of the home. Other survivor includes a brother, Mike, Lawrence. Memorial service at Park Place Christian Church and private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, Ks.
