James Edward Wickliffe, 70, departed this life on February 28, 2020. He was born on July 20,1950 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Paul and Dorothy (Coleman) Wickliffe.

He graduated high school in 1968 and enlisted in the Navy Corps in 1969. After completing his basic training in Long Beach, California, he was assigned to the USS Higbee, where he served in Vietnam and Korea.

He was united in holy matrimony with Darlene Bowie in Inglewood, California. Their union was blessed with four children. In his leisure, James enjoyed writing poems, reading and listening to music.
